Maame Boamah Poku deems it a rare privilege to be serving as the Vice President and chairperson of the welfare committee of GRASAG – UMaT for the 2019/2020 academic year.
Maame is an MSc Student of the department of Geomatics Engineering and a staunch Gender Activist. She believes strongly that we validate our humanity by the selfless service we render to society to affect it positively.
Maame is a tested breed when it comes to student leadership and the validity of this statement commensurate to the numerous successes she has chalked over the past years as a student leader.
Among the numerous roles she has left an indelible mark include: Serving as the Project Manager for Grandhedge International.
Maame led an unprecedented new era of information dissemination serving as the General Secretary for Chamber of Mines Hall for two consecutive years.
Maame also served as the vice president of Rotaract – UMaT chapter and a member of the welfare committee of UMaT – SRC during her undergraduate days.
Away from official activities, reading novels is of extreme delight to her.
Beyond all doubts, Maame is poised to probe the ills of student leadership and be the change she wants to see.
