Shiphrah Ohene Adu is pursuing a Master of Science Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Mines and Technology where she had her Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the same institution. She is the Assistant Secretary of Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana (GRASAG), UMaT Chapter and also served as the General Secretary for 2018/19.
Her interest in secretarial field emerged when she served as the secretary for the maiden GRASAG-UMaT Week Celebration Committee. She is hardworking and takes interest in the affairs of women especially those aimed at educating girls in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). As a result of this interest, she currently serves as the organizer for Ladies in Mining and Allied Professions (LiMAP), an advocacy group aimed at empowering young females to undertake courses in STEM and a participant of Young African Women’s Conference last year themed “Economic Empowerment of Women: A Prerequisite for Continental Development”. She enjoys the company of children and her colleagues and movies.
