EMEFA PRISCILLA Amenyah Kove is the GENDER COMMISSIONER for GRASAG-UMaT. Emefa is a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering student. Her research interests include oil/gas field drilling wastes, heavy metal pollution, waste management using locally produced activated carbon, petroleum economics etc. Emefa is Gender Activist and believes that women are vital in the national development of a country. She is therefore a strong advocate of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) five (5) which seeks to achieve gender equality by 2030 and is committed to the HeForShe campaign. Emefa is member of several women and professional organisations such as Ladies in Mining and Allied Professions in Ghana (LiMAP-Gh) where she is the Organising Secretary, Young African Women Congress (YAWC) Network, Organisation of Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), Ghana and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
